  • 100% of donations go directly toward improving access to essential health services for pregnant women and newborns; none of the donated funds are used for administrative or operational costs.

The total cost for essential medicines and ultrasound appointments during pregnancy is about 9.92 EUR, and these are provided free of charge to SafeMom enrollees.

Ambulance rides, when needed, are also provided free of charge to all SafeMom enrollees, with an average cost of 40 EUR.

Delivery and other essential medical care throughout pregnancy and the neonatal period are covered using savings in the Mobile Maternal Health Wallet, and we add a 50% matched credit to help subsidize these costs.

The average cost of a delivery is around 3 EUR, though it can be as high as 12 EUR. For cesarean section deliveries, the average cost is approximately 53 EUR.

You can monitor the impact of SafeMom through our data dashboard, which displays anonymized metrics on the health services provided by the program as of March 2024.
